The Seattle Area American Red Cross provides volunteers from the Red Cross Language Bank when an interpreter is needed

G2L helped HealthPoint pilot a video chat system for medical interpretation that allows immediate and affordable access to an interpreter. HealthPoint is now rolling this system out to each of its 17 clinics
INTERPRETER TRAINING

In partnership with Highline Community College and with funding from the Workforce Development Council of Seattle-King County, G2L created a new Certified Medical Interpreter training program. The program provides low-income individuals with multiple language skills an opportunity for well-paid employment

During the first quarter of training in the fall of 2012, 18 individuals were trained and at least five went on to immediate employment
